Probably the greatest thing we can do for the future spiritual health of your student is to incorporate you, parents, in the ministry of Real Life.

We believe that the Bible is the final authority on everything we do and when we find scriptures like;

Deuteronomy 11:19
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

and

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

we are challenged and humbled. Quite honestly we realize that you as parents spend more time and have a God given voice to your children more than we could ever have.

Because of this Biblical truth we, as a ministry, desire to involve you as a parent in your child’s spiritual development. Our goal is that your child would become a whole hearted follower of Jesus. That they would make their faith, their own. The problem is that we see your student only about 2-3 times a week. However, you see them everyday. We came to the understanding that in order for your student to become a whole hearted follower of Jesus Christ they needed to make their faith a 24/7 faith.

So what we decided to do is incorporate parents in an all new way.

Parent Summits
The last Sunday of every month we will being hosting a CrossPoint Youth Department Parent Summit. These meetings will communicate the monthly activities, goals and lesson series. These summits will start immediately after the 10:30 service at CrossPoint in the Real Life room. These meetings are also a good place to meet other parents and ask questions.

Family Questions
At Parent Summits or right here (on the Monday after Parent Summit). You can get a list of weekly questions that you can ask your student and family of Biblical principles that will engage the lesson for that week and help make what we have learned one day into a 24/7 faith.

As an encouragement! Please do not feel intimidated by these questions and summits. God desires you to become the parent that your child needs. Your student is looking to you to be the real example of what God does in a life that they know intimately. Some of these questions may seem difficult to answer. Don’t feel like you need to know the answer, just talk. Remember, your child is looking at you as THE example of what a follower of Jesus does and says.Questions.htmlshapeimage_4_link_0
